Diversity in the Construction of CityCenter
CityCenter is a cutting-edge destination, with an urban core that will blend world-class residential, hospitality, retail, gaming and entertainment elements into a synergistic hub of distinctive character. The $8 billion CityCenter – the largest single privately funded development in U.S. history – will catapult Las Vegas to new status among the most sophisticated cities of the world.
CityCenter will be a turning point in the evolution of Las Vegas.
CityCenter will be historic for its systematic, multi-faceted assimilations of Minority, Woman-owned and Disadvantaged Businesses (MWDBEs) and for having one of the most comprehensive MWDBE outreach programs ever undertaken in a large-scale construction project.
Effective local and national outreach to MWDBEs and a bold and aggressive stipulation to have diverse participation in all design and construction bids have yielded positive results as we build this architectural masterpiece from scratch. In doing so, we have created an arena of diverse businesses that help us define our success.
Diversity is a part of CityCenter’s history, as well as its future, as we are resolved to building ongoing relationships with MWDBEs.
