Press Releases

LAS VEGAS — Astronauts from the landmark Gemini and Apollo NASA programs will join OMEGA and TOURBILLON at Crystals at CityCenter to celebrate an exhibit featuring rare artifacts from the iconic space missions.

The public exhibit which runs from October 14 to 21 at Crystals, will showcase a Lunar Rover, an Apollo 10 space suit and Mars Rover in addition to OMEGA Speedmaster watches. The OMEGA Speedmaster is the only watch worn to the moon and is the official timepiece of the NASA space program.

In addition to the exhibit, OMEGA and Tourbillon will host a VIP cocktail reception Thursday, October 20 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Tourbillon boutique. The reception will honor Gemini and Apollo astronaut Lt. General Thomas Stafford and Apollo 17 astronaut, and last man to walk on the moon, Captain Gene Cernan. A portion of the proceeds of sales from this special reception and from all OMEGA watch sales at Tourbillion between October 20 and 31, will benefit cancer care and research at Nevada Cancer Institute.

The following day, Friday, October 21, Brigadier General Charlie Duke, who flew to the moon on Apollo 15, will join General Stafford and Captain Cernan for a public forum and panel discussion moderated by former CNN correspondent and journalist Miles O’Brien. The forum, hosted at Crystals, is open to the public and runs from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
